A three-part documentary podcast series exploring the life and career of Kasper Hjulmand, the Danish national football team coach. The series follows his journey from an injury-plagued career as a football player in Randers Freja to becoming one of Denmark's most respected coaches.
After his playing career, Hjulmand attended the Jyske Idrætshøjskole, where he encountered a new perspective on life that would later shape his coaching philosophy. The podcast traces his successful coaching periods at Lyngby and FC Nordsjælland, his ventures abroad, and ultimately his appointment as the Danish national team coach, succeeding Åge Hareide.
Throughout the series, the podcast explores the question of whether Hjulmand could maintain his unique coaching style while competing against the biggest opponents, and how he worked to restore public support for the Danish national team.
